Rev. Russell Richard Ingersoll

The Rev. Russell R. Ingersoll was born in Denver, Colorado, on 17 May 1907, the son of Russell and Claire (Unger) Ingersoll. He moved to Seattle in his youth, graduated from the University of Washngton in 1930 and General Theological Seminary in 1934. He was ordaed a deacon in 1934 and a priest in 1935. He married Jeanette Edith McKay on 5 June 1937 in St. Louis, Minnesota. For a time he was chaplain of the Shattuck School in Minnesota. He came to Mishawaka as rector of St. Paul's in 1938 and remained until 1942, when he received a call to be rector of St. Stephen's Church in Seattle. Soon after moving, he came down with pneumonia and died on 8 December 1942.
