Lindus Cody Marsh was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on 30 September 1883, the son of Andrew Jackson and Hattie (Cody) Marsh. He married first Eleanor Blake and second Anna Barraud Cocke on 22 December 1923 in Washington, D.C. Marsh's training is not known. He was serving a church in Wooster, Ohio, in 1910, when he came to Indiana as vicar of the newly-formed Christ Church in Gary, serving a year between 1911 and 1912. By 1918 he had moved to Maryland to serve a church in Prince George's County. Two years later he was in Washington, D.C. By 1940 he had moved to Arizona and served a church in Pinal. He died in Tucson on 4 November 1949 and was buried in Lake View Cemetery there.
