Rev. John Francis Plummer

The Rev. John F. Plummer was born in Faribault, Minnesota, on 25 July 1885, the son of John Disamore and Fannie (Van Orsdahl) Plummer. His early career is unknown, but he came to Kokomo as vicar of the mission of St. Andrew's in 1912. He remained until 1923, during which time the parish built a church and transitioned to parish status. In 1920 he lived with the diocesan archdeacon, the Rev. Robert J. Long. In 1930, he lived in Chicago with his widowed mother. In 1942 he was rector of St. Michael and All Angels in Berwyn, Illinois. In 1959, he was the founding vicar of St. Columba Episcopal Church in Hanover Park, Illinois. He died in Brookfield, Illinois, in October 1974.
