Edward Jackson Jr. was born in Maryland on 23 March 1820, the son of the Rev. Johannes Edward Jackson, a native of England, and wife Harriet (Myers). He married Ann Hackley Sublette in Henderson, Kentucky, on 19 June 1850. Much of his career is unknown. He lived in Hudson, New York, in 1855, and served as rector of Trinity Church, Logansport, Indiana, from 1866 to 1868. In 1887 he served Whitemarsh Parish in Maryland. He was rector of St. Luke's, Cannelton, Perry County, on 17 July 1894, when he lost consciousness and died in the country when traveling to bring communion to a parishioner. He was buried in Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson.
