Henry M. Thompson. He was born in England about 1820 or 1821 and immigrated to the United States. He married Mary A. (__), a native of the District of Columbia. From the birthplaces of his children on the 1860 census, he spent time in New York and Wisconsin in the 1850s. He was a missionary in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and also in Milwaukee in 1856-1857. By 1859, he came to Bristol, Indiana, and was settled as rector of St. John's. He also served concurrently at St. Mark's, Lima. He remained in Bristol through 1862, left to serve St. Mark's exclusively, and then returned in 1867, resigning from St. Mark's, and closing out his rectorate in Bristol in 1871. Where he went after this date and where he died is not known.
