Rev. George Harry Richardson

The Rev. George Harry Richardson was born in Leicestershire, England, in 1883. He married his wife Mary Lillian (__) in England and then immigrated first to Canada. He crossed the border from Manitoba into the United States in 1908, returned to England, and then sailed again for New York in 1909, the passenger list recording him as a clergyman. Apparently he was not a member of the Church of England, since he was later ordained a deacon in 1919. The 1910 census lists Richardson in Mayville, North Dakota. Before he was ordained to the diaconate, he arrived in Logansport, where Bishop White gave him charge of Trinity Church as well as Trinity Church in Peru. He was enumerated in Logansport in 1920, but left later that year for Indianapolis, assuming the leadership of the Church of the Advent. He remained there at least through 1922, and by 1930 he was living in the town of Lead, South Dakota. He later returned to England and died there on 4 September 1945.
