Goodman was born at Claines, near Droitwich, Worcestershire, England, in July 1869, the son of Frederic W. Goodman and wife Eliza. He immigrated to America in 1899, came to Indiana, and was installed as rector of St. James, Goshen, where he served a year until 1901. By 1910, he was in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. He married Sarah Wood Clark in Philadelphia on 18 April 1915. Years later he became archdeacon of Arctic Alaska and was enumerated in 1940 at Point Hope. He was living in 1944, but the date of his death has not been found.
