Frederic Welham was born in Leeds, England, in January 1866, the son of Alfred and Mary (Wigney) Welham. He was ordained a deacon in 1895 and a priest in 1896. By 1898 he was the rector of St. Stephen's Church in Tottenham, New York. He moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan, as rector of Holy Trinity Church and was enumerated there on the 1900 census. Between 1904 and 1905, he was in Goshen, Indiana, as rector of St. James Church. He returned to Michigan as rector of St. John's Church in Grand Haven and married in Ottawa County on 2 July 1907, Grace Wadsworth. By 1910 he was rector of a church in Ledyard, New York. In 1922, he was rector of St. Bartholomew's Church in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, but he has not been located after this date.
