Rev. Cleon E. Bigler

The Rev. Cleon E. Bigler was born in Waterloo, Indiana, on 29 April 1887, the son of William B. and Minnie (Patterson) Bigler. He was without occupation in 1910, but in 1918 he registered for the World War I draft as an Episcopal priest in DeKalb, Illinois. He married Margaret Annette Kehoe in South Haven, Michigan, on 13 August 1915. He began his career as a lay reader and in 1923 became the second vicar of St. Andrew's Church in Kokomo, Indiana. In 1928 he accepted a call to be rector of All Saints Episcopal Church in Western Springs, Illinois, and served there until 1957. Then from 1957 to 1967, he was rector of the Chapel of St. John by the Lake in Onekawa, Michigan. He died there on 10 October 1968.
