Reimer was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, on 18 September 1896, the son of John and Luetgarde (Kruger) Reimer. He graduated from Beloit College in 1917 and continued his seminary education at Seabury Western, where he graduated in 1925. He was ordained both a deacon and priest that year. He married Marguerite Kirk Taylor on 13 November 1928. He began his career at the Church of the Good Samaritan in Oak Park, Illinois, serving there until 1927. He moved to the Church of the Atonement in Chicago and remained there a year. In 1928 he went to Council Bluffs, Iowa, as rector of St. Paul's, remaining there until 1933. He then moved to Houghton, Michigan, as rector of Trinity and served until 1940. That year he came to Indiana as rector of Trinity Church in Logansport, also taking on the duties of St. Mary's in nearby Delphi in 1943. He left the diocese in 1949 for St. John's Church in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, where he served until 1953. He then became archdeacon of the Diocese of Altoona from 1956 to 1963. He died in Centreville, Michigan, on 26 July 1965.
