Morgan was born in England on 12 April 1866, the son of Francis A. and Anna (Robinson) Morgan. He graduated from Western Theological Seminary in 1893 and was ordained a deacon the same year and a priest in 1894. He was at St. Paul's Church in Hammond, Indiana, in 1893, while still a deacon, but later that year moved to Mount Vernon, Indiana. In 1895 he was at St. Stephen's Church in New Harmony. He marred Anna B. Mitchell on 10 September 1895 in Posey County, Indiana. He then moved to Caeso, Texas, from 1895 to 1897, then to Kearney, Nebraska, the same year, and again to St. Stephen's Church in Grand Island, Nebraska. By 1900 he was in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He died on 4 February 1904 in Ionia County, Michigan, but was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery in Posey County.
