The DIL is a function of the Carolina Digital Humanities, a set of partnerships and programs promoting “innovation in digital teaching, research and outreach in the arts and humanities” (“About CDH/DIL”) plain 2021-09-02T08:42:11-07:00 01/01/2011 Sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and located in Greenlaw Hall, the Digital Innovation Lab (DIL) provides resources to “integrate project-based, digital methodologies into humanities scholarship and to promote public humanities through digital innovation” (“Our History”). One of the projects developed through Carolina Digital Humanities and its DIL is The Critical Literacy Initiative, which partners with Adobe Enterprises to integrate digital literacy and digital projects into English 105, the first-year writing course.
