Battle of Crecy : Calais

The England defeated the France fleet in 1340. Then, Edward III advanced to the attack to the France by coming ashore to the Normandy. Even though they advanced to the Paris, but they had strong resistance from them. Thus, they backed down at the Crecy and formed a military camp. They also waited the battle with the France. The main power of England are longbow men and of France are Genoa crossbowmen. However, as soon as the battle started, the crossbowmen could not match for the longbow men. Crossbow has short available range, and compared to crossbow longbow has long available range and accurate aim.
The Battle of Crecy is the story of poem regarding to the battle between the England and France. As a result, England won with the amazing weapon which is the longbow. It was an invented weapon by England, thanks to having this weapon, they could won the war. If it were not for longbow, it might hard for them to won and defeat the France. As the reason for this aspect, France had more population and better economic power than England had. Besides of longbow, there is another fact that England could won against France. That is, England preoccupied the better place at the battle of Crecy. They took the advantageous position where they can lean against the sun and it also made them easy to fight with France who will have a difficulty on facing sun which block their sight. There are some important factors that led England win. As a result, they could win thanks to these strategies. The victory of England led Hundred Years’ War from 1337 to 1453.
