However, he took the world by storm due to his use of social media. Trump got the most media coverage of any republican candidate in the primary because of his use of twitter. He used twitter to not only further his political agenda, but also to tear other candidates down. This resulted in other candidates to join and use social media in this election. This trend is now continuing in the general election with Trump and Clinton.
