Simulation of Life: How E-Lit Creates Empathy

What does the author make of it?

Annie Abrahams was interviewed by Maria Chatzichristodoulou.
When beginning to talk about building relationships, Abrahams brings up the idea of machine-mediated intimacy and how her works have been so focused on the term. Opening up to a sense of vulnerability brings up the closest and most intimate connections which can be seen from her software Separation. The word choice of "machine" is referring to the connotation of a computer. The tense love-hate relationship between human and computer is what stems RSI. The pain. The empathy is built through any user participating  in the given exercises to hopefully get a sense of the pain from the extend relationship.
