Now the Graduate School of Library and Information Science building, the Acacia House was located at 501 E. Daniel St. in Champaign from 1914-1985. "It was an ideal location, providing an excellent view of the southward growth of the University of Illinois campus and the corresponding shift of fraternity houses. Some, like the hazings traditions of today, focused on torturing the freshman class and first year pledges. While the freshman "spot" tradition and "Hell Week" were banned, the pajama race was a lasting tradition.media/Theta Kappa Phi Members get Doused with Water Before the Big Pajama Race.pngmeta2016-04-05T11:44:57-07:00The Daily IlliniOctober 21, 1937Justin Williamsb70f963b476d25237566bff71436a8ecd9b41b86
