She chose to cover Margaret Janet Brace's song,"Satan is Waitin'" because it allowed her to express her faith in a creative way. Learning about the hundreds of women who recorded at King Records, has inspired and excited her to share the energy of King women's music with young women in the Cincinnati community today. This Cincinnati music history can awaken us to the range of genres and sounds that are included in popular music.
The days of women in the background are over. This is similar to Wonky Tonk's perspective that women "don't believe they are secondary anymore."
