Chicago's Community Response to COVID-19

Jessica Ramirez's pandemic art

The images that I've uploaded were initially for my class assignments at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I attended my first spring semester at UIC back in January of 2020 for a Bachelors's Degree in Art History. Little did I know the rest of my semester would end up online. All of the instructors had little time to prepare, and we had an extra week of spring break. Some of my art history classes required me to come up with my own interpretation of some of the sections we learned in class. I decided for the rest of the semester, my interpretations of the material would reflect on the Pandemic. Images: "The Viral Spread," April 22, 2020; "Toilet Paper Pandemic," April 29, 2020; "Life Saver," April 15, 2020; and "Liberty Leading Through the Pandemic War," March 31, 2020.
