Type Three: Curaçaoan
[Audio]The Curaçaoan features improve the Dutch type for this warm and sunny climate by adding breezy galleries. The tradition of painting in bright colors began at the request of a Dutch West India Company governor-general who complained in 1817 that the whitewashed walls reflected too much sun and hurt his eyes.
