Professional Baseball Career

Joseph "Joltin' Joe" Paul DiMaggio was a center fielder for The New York Yankees in the American League.

Joe was with the Yankees for 12 years from 1936 to 1951.  He was voted Most Valuable Player for the years 1931, 1941, and 1947; and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1955 after his uniform number (#5) was retired in 1952.
