Miranda Nelson grew up in Hastings, Minnesota and graduated from Concordia College May 3rd, 2015 with a Bachelors of Arts in French and Spanish. She plans to continue her studies at the Institute of French Studies at New York University. This book came about as part of a class at Concordia called "Baseball and American Diversity." She had very limited knowledge of the world of baseball before writing  this book, but as they say you are never too old to learn something new.
