The two wings that intersected on each side provided a layout that allowed for a maximum of rooms to have windows that provided views of the city and ocean. Common for hotel plans at the time, the Hotel Nacional boasted double-loaded corridors with guest room bathrooms grouped together to allow for a more efficient plumbing system.
