Safety of Location

Owning homes in a safe place such as Levittown was a huge step for veterans coming back from war. Throughout the war, the home was the symbol of the American Dream. The picture perfect painted homes, carefully controlled community available at an affordable cost gave hope to many returning from war. The suburban homes offered stability and protection, which was much needed post war. The green spaces suggested peace and tranquility that was much needed at this time as well.
