Los Angeles Toy District: Isaac Larian - Bratz Dolls Inspiration
As the creator of the Bratz company, Larian designed his dolls in a particular way. Diverging from the stereotypical, ethnically homogenous appearance of most other dolls that were popular at the time, Larian decided to create a line of dolls that looked unique. Larian’s inspiration for the appearance of his dolls came from around the world. These dolls each have unique features, reflecting the diverse features of real women from different parts of the world. Thus, girls of all ethnic backgrounds are able to relate to these dolls.
