Mark(up) Twain: Accessibility
Accessibility
As mentioned above, the MTPO allows public access to the digitized contents of the Mark Twain Papers collection (as opposed to the non-digitized part of the collection, which is only open to researchers with special permission and Berkeley students and faculty). The MTPO has been available for access since 2002.
The site conforms to TEI protocol, which is documented in detail on a technical summary page. Additionally, the metadata model for the site conforms to the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) according to the following standards:
- Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard (METS)
- Metadata Authority Description Schema (MADS)
- Metadata Object Description Schema (MODS)
- MISO Metadata for Images in XML Schema (MIX)
