Emily Smith
I am a writer, editor, scholar, teacher, and designer with research interests in early modern poetry, print culture, and theology.
After teaching high school for several years in Brooklyn, New York, I moved to Victoria, where I completed my MA in 2012 and co-founded The Media Res, an online publishing platform devoted to creative, scholarly, and fun cultural criticism. I currently edit The Media Res and work as an instructional designer at Rethink, an educational technology company in New York City that provides web-based curriculum, reporting tools, and video modeling for special educators.
