Specifically, we will look at:
Cutting on softer sounds like vowels as opposed to hard consonants when someone is speaking
Cutting on movement be it movement in shot or the camera moving
Using sound bridges between shots or scenes
Example
Here I have created two versions of a video project on the history of the U.S. Military in the Arctic Circle. This is just a rough video created for this workshop. What is here would just be the beginning of a longer video and this portion would “set the scene.” The topic of the U.S. Military in the Arctic is very interesting and a lot can be said about it both in regard to the past and the present. In this case the topic is being touched on only superficially for the purposes of demonstration.
