- sole responsibility for all collection development of federal documents (we currently select 54.19% of the total items offered)
- maintaining the physical collection, including overseeing the cataloging/accessibility of all items to all patrons
- insuring the collection is available to ALL potential users, not just the university community
- maintaining government information pages on the library’s website
- weeding the collection following both Federal and Regional guidelines, including mandatory withdrawals/disposal of information/items as directed by the Superintendent of Documents
- completing and submitting the Biannual Survey of Depository Libraries to fulfill the legal obligation of reporting the condition of our depository every two years
- >acting as the point of contact for the university with the Government Publishing Office
- additional duties include Teaching Intro to Academic Research - Biology 3-4 sections a year
