"Autocoding" by Speaker Name

Auto-Applying Speaker Names to Transcripts

Computational supports for researchers are about making the work more efficient and the discoveries more insightful.

Some autocoding features are there to enable increased efficiencies in processing data files for analysis in NVivo.

It is possible to upload focus group files or other text as .docx files and have NVivo automatically code by speakers' names, so that there is a file with all commenting by that individual or those individuals.  This work requires the identifying out of all speakers by name (no misspellings), and this results in nodes for each speaker.

This technology enables a range of efficiencies.
