Asexuality and Ace Identities

Asexuality(Ace) is a broad overarching term to describe people who don't experience sexual attraction. This can present in several different ways, be it a disinterest in sex, an aversion to sex, or an active choice to avoid sex. Ace people can have any gender identity and any romantic orientation, their ace-ness is just an added element of their queerness. The opposite of asexuality is allosexuality, or people who do experience sexual attraction. Often times ace people are made to feel broken or lesser for not wanting to jump into relationships, but they can live totally fulfilling lives without engaging in a relationship that involves sex. Some people are also aromantic, that is they also don't experience romantic attraction. Ultimately the existence of the ace spectrum gives people the words to communicate how they feel about themselves and the type of life they would like to live in the world.
