ALGORITHMS OF OPPRESSION: HOW SEARCH ENGINE REINFORCE RACISM 
In this article Safiya Umoja focus on the identity of black women being misrepresented on search engines in particularly with Google, the internet in search result and how this have tied to a longer legacy of white racial patriarchy.”(107) She collected a lot of data from google and presented them in her essay to show how these websites are racist and gender inequality. Safiya then explain if you search on google for black girl your result will lead you to “Sugary Black Pussy” and “Big Booty.”  The thesis that explain this reading is found on (p71) “In order to fully interrogate this persistent phenomenon, a lesson on race and racialization is in order, as these processes are structured into every aspect of American work, culture, and knowledge production. Safiya breaks it down in parts of her reading . “Who Is Responsible for the Results?”  Safiya links it to the implicit and explicit messages about Black women and girls in both the texts of results or hits and the paid ads that accompany them. Which she says are narrowed down by not only African Americans underemployed at Google, Facebook, Snapchat, and other popular technology companies computer programmers, but jobs that could employ the expertise(69)”. “How Pornification Happened to Black Girls in the Search Engine”. 
First, the pornography industry closely monitors the top searches for information or content, based on search requests across a variety of demographics.(p87). Secondly the programs are set Inquiries into racism and sexism on the web are not new. In many discourses of technology the machine is turned to and positioned as a mere tool, rather than being reflective of human values.(p89). Her third analyse “Blackness in the Neoliberal Marketplace” Safiya argues that in this frame, Black women are the targets of a variety of neoliberal science, technology, and digital innovation programs. In her forth argument “Black Girls as Commodity Object”. Safiya argues that “these segmented social structures persist at a historical moment when Black women and children are part of the permanent underclass and represent the greatest proportion of citizens living in poverty”(p93). Michael Omi and Howard Winant, two key scholars of race in the United States, distinguish the ways that racial rule has moved "from dictatorship to democracy as a mean of masking domination over racialized groups in the United States”(p80). The theoretical concept is “The value of this exploration is in showing how gender and race are social constructed and mutually constituted through science and technology”(108). Safiya argues that  women and girls do not fare well in Google Search-that is evident.”(p71) Safiya speaks not only for black women but use to examine her studies of the high volume of racism and gender inequality. Safiya notion is to build her work on feminist and the scholars that agrees with her. She adds that technology programs are bias and discriminative.
