The binary code spells out “Hello, World!” This phrase often marks first contact or the first act of translation between human and computer. Internet lore credits the origin of the phrase to The C Programming Language (1978).[1]  The phrase is used as a trial to determine the connectivity of the code between human programmer and computer program. In this way, “Hello, World!” is one of the most symbolic moments of technoencounter.
