We do not speak each other’s languages easily. Here, I’ve built and installed a binary LED clock, one that is easily understood by computers, but requires an act of translation (most likely with the help of a computer) for human intelligibility. Time often operates as a disciplinary force at the computer lab and clocks are often easily visible in these spaces.
