Cleydson Catarina is an actor, bonequeiro (puppeteer), and director. Originally from the Brazilian northeast state of Ceará, he migrated to São Paulo in 2014. He is the founder and director of Teatro Terreiro Encantado and directed the one act play Auto do Negrinho. He is also a key member of the Grupo Clariô Theater Company and co-directed with Naruna Costa the play Boi Mansinho e Santa Cruz do Deserto (Gentle Ox and the Holy Cross of the Desert). His mask and puppetry work were shared in an exhibit as part of of the Circuit CITA festival in July 2022.
Uberê Guelé is an actor, musician, writer, and visual artist. He is a key member of Teatro Terreiro Encantado and is an actor in the Grupo Clariô Theater Company. As a writer he participates in the writing collective Sarau do Binho and published the book of poetry Couro de Gente (People's Leather). He is an accomplished visual artist who organized the exhibit "Cambada" of his artwork in several metro stations on São Paulo's yellow line.
Augusto Iúna is an actor and musician. He is a key member of Teatro Terreiro Encantado and participates in some of Grupo Clariô Theater Company's productions. Before becoming an actor, he was an accomplished musician. He was a member of the band Ouro e Chá (Gold and Tea) and was a backup musician for the women's music group Clarianas. He released the single "Cançoes sobre Calunga" in 2021, which came about through the project Canteiro de Raiz, which he developed with other musicians to celebrate Brazil's popular musical traditions.
Fabin Santinho is a singer, actor, and artist. He has participated in several of Teatro Terreiro Encantado's performances of Auto do Negrinho. He is an artist and producer with the independent production company Tijolin Produtora that produces music and videos for artists from the periphery. He released a music video in March 2023 titled "7 Chavs" that mixes rhythms of the Afro-Brazilian Jongo tradition with contemporary funk beats.
Rafael Fazzion is a musician and percussionist. He participated in several of Teatro Terreiro Encantado's first performances of Auto do Negrinho. He is an accomplished percussionist, which was an important contribution to the production of Auto do Negrinho. He is a key member of the African percussion and dance group Cia Fankama Obi, and he has worked as a musician on other musical productions and shows with artists from the periphery.
Grupo Clariô de Teatro is one of the most important theater companies from São Paulo's periphery. Founded in 2002, Grupo Clariô de Teatro is a key cultural institution for producing and supporting theater and other art forms in the periphery. Some of their key theatrical productions are Hospital da Gente (Our Hospital), Urubu Come Carniça e Voa! (Vulture Eats Cadavers and Flys!, Severina: Da Morte à Vida (Severina: From Death to Life), and Boi Mansinho e Santa Cruz do Deserto (Gentle Ox and the Holy Cross of the Desert). Several members of Teatro Terreiro Encantado are active members in this theater company.
Fernando Solidade Soares is a photographer and videographer from São Paulo's periphery. He photographs cultural and artistic events from the periphery, including Teatro Terreiro's first performance of Auto do Negrinho. He is part of the production team for Rádio Busão, a mobile communications network from the periphery that produces interviews of artists from São Paulo's periphery. He also worked on the videography for Akins Kintê's documentary Gira Bandeira: Guardiões do Carnaval (Twirling Flag: Guardians of Carnival).
