Labor in the Space Between | 2022 Conference Postlude (more things!)
What a wonderful conference it was! In the post-conference glow, consider the following:
- Submit your conference paper for the annual essay prize: Some information about prior prize winners can be found on the Essay Prize page. Essay Prize deadline: July 28, 2022.
- Submit your essay (submission guidelines) to The Space Between. The editor, Jennifer Nesbitt (jpn12@psu.edu), will happily answer inquiries and discuss options.
- The Space Between was pleased to feature three presentations that were scheduled as part of the second Feminist inter/Modernist Association conference (FiMA2). FiMA's journal is creating a special issue to document the work FiMA scholars lost the opportunity to present due to COVID-related conference cancellations: To celebrate the vitality of feminist sholarship amidst the continued challenges of the pandemic, Feminist Modernist Studies will showcase the work that would have been presented at the FiMA2 conference in Chicago. A special issue of FMS, titled “Feminist Publishing Against the Pandemic,” will be an invigorating collection of mini-essays showcasing the multifarious interests of the FiMA community. You may edit and submit your 1200-1500 word paper for potential inclusion in this special issue. Email your completed submission including an abstract and a current bio to feministintermodernist@gmail.com by June 30, 2022.
- Early career scholars (or, heck, scholars of any kind) may wish to participate in the Council of Editors of Learned Journal's summer "Chat with an Editor" sessions on Monday, June 27, 2022. For more information, check the organization's Twitter feed (@celj_editors) or Facebook page.
