The Oral History Lab @UPRM

OHL Workshop Series

Conclusion
In collaboration with conservator and archivist Caroline Gil Rodríguez, who served as an external expert consultant in the present project, UPRM Library organized a series of educational events covering topics related to the OHL's activities, such as digital preservation, creation of oral history collections, and archiving best practices.

Most of these talks were held in Spanish. This was extremely helpful due to the fact that still, not too many educational activities on these subjects are held in Spanish. All of the events in the series were very well attended, and attendees included information professionals as well as members of the general public. Besides attendees from Puerto Rico and the United States, we had people joining us from countries such as Argentina, Aruba, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and France.

We hope this workshop series will encourage participation by more members of Spanish-speaking communities in digital humanities projects.

Below you will find descriptions for each of the sessions in the workshop series, as well as links to the recordings.
