You now understand what it takes to write a great short story. As you have completed each of the tasks that we have gone over the past few weeks, you should have an idea of who your character and a basic idea of your story's plot! With these things in mind, here is your final assignment:  

Each of you have been assigned a district of The Hunger Games that you are a part of. I want you to write a 2-3 page typed short story from the perspective of a character in your given district. It should be typed in Times New Roman, 12 point font. This story is completely yours, therefore you have the freedom to be as creative as you want to be!

The conclusion is well thought out and thoughtfully reflects on the story’s sequences of events.The text has an exposition and introduces the characters. The readers are interested at the beginning, but not necessarily engaged. The conflict is there, but never introduced. There is an adequate progression of experiences/events throughout your story. There is not a conflict, or at least not one that can last the duration of the short story. There is not a theme, or the theme is one that does not make sense for the story.
