As you have completed each of the tasks that we have gone over the past few weeks, you should have an idea of who your character and a basic idea of your story's plot! With these things in mind, here is your final assignment:
Each of you have been assigned a district of The Hunger Games that you are a part of. I want you to write a 2-3 page typed short story from the perspective of a character in your given district. It should be typed in Times New Roman, 12 point font. This story is completely yours, therefore you have the freedom to be as creative as you want to be!
Your story must include:
The 5 key elements of a short story (setting, characters ,plot, conflict, and theme)
The 5 parts of a plot (exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, an conclusion)
A complex character that has flaws, skills, emotions, and insecurities.
The correct use of dialogue and the structure of a short story
RUBRIC I will be giving out grades with a check plus, check mark, and check minus grading scale. This will be a total of 30 points.
