Tree of Codes, Jonathan Safrar Froer
Tree of Codes is a deformation of Bruno Schultz's the Street of Crocodiles made by Jonathan Safran Froer. Froer excises this book-as-sculpture from Schultz's work by slicing out chunks of text. He sees his work in some ways as a rejection of e-books: Tree of Codes "remembers that it has a body", calling attention to the physical form of a book.
