All of these differences mentioned in this book will contribute to your culture shock one way or another.  However, you will recover and adapt.  You will begin to resolve any problems the differences may have caused.  You will learn more about the new culture.  You will come to accept and appreciate the similarities and differences between the home culture and the new culture.  

REMEMBER: Studying is not the only form of learning! Victoria University encourages students to maximise all opportunities available to them in their new city and university.  

If you do experience problems, do something before your problems get too big to solve.  Talk to learning advisers from Student Learning, student advisers at Victoria International, counsellors at the Counselling Service, other students who are in your lectures, or your lecturer during his/her office hours.
