Supplements
Some SourceLab editions may contain supplementary materials intended to make them more useful to our clients and audiences. For example, a cache of supplementary photographs, a map, or additional, unedited text. This section provides space for that. It should be removed from editions that do not have supplements.
The source of any materials here should be fully documented in your bibliography page, as well as in the associated embedded metadata to each media object. Copyright restrictions still apply.
Layout:
Similar to the section for “The Source,” the supplements page can use a variety of layouts. You may use one of the following or draw from one of the other options presented for the Source.- Media Gallery (this layout)
- Single Image
Checklist:
For all layouts:- Delete any unused media, unused pages/layout versions
- Follow general guidelines for text and citation
- First letter is drop cap
- Block quotes and lists are formatted appropriately
- Font matches style of the rest of the edition
- Insert every image of your Source you wish to feature using Insert Inline Scalar Media Link button.
- Option: Toggle on/off title and description for images. Images may be edited by hovering over them and selecting the “Gear” icon. (Size, alignment, and text wrap options for individual images will not have any effect in this layout, but options to show title/description for images will still take effect.)
