They have exhibited internationally at ISEA, MIX NYC, Piksel, and, as drag alter-ego Lil Miss Hot Mess, performed at SFMOMA, the Institute of Contemporary Arts LA, and Saturday Night Live. Harris co-curated the show System Failure for Apex Art and has received grants from Eyebeam, MAP Fund, and Google.org. Their writing has appeared in Wired, The Guardian, Salon, and academic journals, and their work with the #MyNameIs campaign and Drag Queen Story Hour has been covered by The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Channel 4. Harris holds an MFA from UC Santa Cruz and is finishing a PhD in Media, Culture, and Communication at NYU.
