Shakespeare in the Digital Age

Merchant of Venice 1.2

This book is about the king's daughter who refuses to marry, every suitor who comes to the King to ask for his daughter's hand in marriage. She would ridicule and put down the suitors and made sure no one wanted to marry her. The motif that the King's daughter and Portia shares is that marriage is not something that should be easily overlooked. Both of them wanted to pick their suitors themselves, not by their father's choice.
