The Telidon
John Durno demonstrates his Microtel VTX202 Telidon system, donated by the SPARC (Society for the Preservation of Antique Radio in Canada) Radio museum. The Telidon was a short-lived telecommunications service offered in Canada from 1979-1985. The Telidon received limited support and never achieved mass adoption. This particular Telidon unit (the Microtel VTX202) is one of only 250 units available in the BC area in 1985, and is one of the few surviving Telidon devices in the world.
