Players can experiment with different choices to see how things change, or how people react. You may read my paper in which I wrote of the ability to explore choices in Papers, Please with the following link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hA7AxQdsjtcdPSkNeuD937mtMl_CNczb/view?usp=sharing
This is similar to Facade. In Facade, players have the ability to go back into the same scenario, and try interacting differently. This is much different in real life, where there is no ability to start over, or see other options. Players are told to play the story more than once for the best experience in the end screen. This ability to restart and replay allows players to experience slightly different scenarios, and see how different actions affect the story and your relationship with the couple (as well as their own relationship).
