The orphanages in Pueblo, Colorado were an influential part of the city. Pueblo was on a role with building around nine orphanages, that made a huge impact on our society. The following orphanages had only lasted for a short amount of time with little to no records of orphans or pictures of the buildings; Emanuel Faith Home that originated in 1920, Fries Orphanage 1900, Holy Family Orphanage 1919, and Pueblo Children’s Home 1900. The three main orphanages we took a look at are Sacred Heart, Lincoln Home, and McCllelland. The transformations that have occurred throughout the three orphanages in the city are important aspects of the history. Historically, many people were influenced or influenced the Orphanages. The three orphanages: Sacred Heart, Lincoln Home and McClleland were the three main orphanages in the city , while they were not the only ones they all three are currently historical sites. Sacred Heart was a Catholic orphanage that instilled religion in the children's daily life. Lincoln Home was one of the first black orphanages that also housed elderly citizens. McCllelland was funded by a Private citizen who left a historical mark on Pueblo and was very generous. The transformations that have occurred architecturally, economically and socially within the people from then and now.
