PURPOSE
The orphanages in Pueblo, Colorado were an influential part of the city because they had an impact on the children in the city. There were seven orphanages in Pueblo at one point, but there are three that get a closer look. The other four orphanages were only around for a year or shorter so there was less information to dig in to.
The purpose for orphanages were originally due to an unstable economy and finicial support and later used due to outside influences that occurred during the 1800s to late 1900s. Orphanages grew and expanded and many people were part of the process that led to orphanages and their need.
