Rustichello da Pisa

Born in Italy, Rustichello (also Rusticiano or Rustigielo) da Pisa (fl. 1272-1300) was a writer of romance, primarily that of the Arthurian variety. However, he is primarily known for recording/co-writing the autobiography of Marco Polo from a prison cell in Venice.
