Rituals

Rituals refers to a ceremony or tradition carried out faithfully (that is, consistently) in attempt to bring Ultimate Perfection to fruition, to establish a relationship or connect with X, or to enforce ethical expectations (including those eschatological in nature) of the religion. Rituals include creation of objects for the purpose of furthering or spreading the religion, congregation of individuals on some kind of schedule, and categorizations, boundaries and necessary actions regarding the sacred and the profane.

Often, the entities performing these rituals do so not only for religious reasons, but for connective reasons. Rituals are much more than esoteric, convoluted practices, they are meant to reaffirm the religion they are a part of as autopoietic in nature. There is a natural flow to successful rituals for native partakers of the tradition, and one can quite often be found following motions that feel right thoughout. A good set of rituals is self-organizing, self-styling and comfortable. This leads to a natural network of interactions that strengthen the resolve of the group towards the Ultimate Perfection.
