How is all of this Related?

In all of these assignments, we were asked to do something that was outside of our norm; we had to create something new, adhere to a system that was already in place but was still foreign to us, and we had to revisit some old knowledge. All of these assignments, cohesively, showed the progression of musical notation.
The standard system of musical notation that most of the world understands today, is a product of many systems that have merged over time. This is an example of globality, we can see processes and products from all over the world in one package. Another side of the globality of musical notation innovations, is that every system around the world is a byproduct or a home of some aspect of another system of notation.
